Earlier this week, mere days after my 30th Birthday, my car was stolen outside my apartment and confirmed stolen on camera by my neighbors. I’ve since filed a police report, and the car has been recovered. Unfortunately, the car is virtually undrivable and without comprehensive insurance coverage, there will be no payout related to the theft.

That car wasn’t just transportation, it was how I made my living. For the past two years I’ve worked as a delivery driver, and losing my car means I also lost my job and income in the same moment.

I’m actively working through next steps and trying to stabilize, but right now I’m stuck trying to bridge the gap of financial uncertainty. This GoFundMe is meant to help cover basic expenses and temporary transportation while I regroup and work toward a more sustainable situation over the next month or two.

I don’t love asking for help, but we all know Chicago winters are brutal and several people encouraged me to put this out there. If you’re able to contribute, it genuinely helps. If not, I completely understand, even reading or sharing this means a lot.
