Help Taylor & Koda Seek Refuge from Homelessness

Donation protected
My name is Taylor, and for the past year, my service dog Koda and I have been homeless on the dangerous streets of Los Angeles. We’ve been relying on a rental vehicle as our only form of shelter. Paying in one week, an amount that would cover ones car note for three months has been wholly taxing. You could almost say I’m working 12-14 hour shifts just to maintain the car, leaving legitimately no room for actual savings. Keeping up with these payments has pushed us to the edge, and now, with the payment overdue, the owner is threatening to take the car away by end of day tomorrow, 2/17/2026. If that happens, Koda and I will be left on the streets with nowhere to go. Setting my pride aside and composing this GoFundMe is my last attempt to secure my baby and myself safe and sheltered.

While donated funds will certainly aid in keeping us sheltered until our move, they will more so act as the necessary financial comfort blanket we will need next week, when we embark on relocating outside of these not so United States. I am usually a Lyft and Uber driver, with both platforms acting as my sole means of income for the past four years. Having my accounts placed on hold has affected my livelihood tremendously. Any sum of a donation will be most appreciated.

Anyone who knows me knows that I ask absolutely no one for anything—not a living soul! But as the saying goes, 'desperate times call for desperate measures,' and well, I am quite literally desperate. I pray this cry for help finds you all well and with amendably giving hearts.

The funds raised will also go toward final pet relocation costs (vaccines, health certificate, documentation), travel-related fees for Koda, transportation upon arrival, basic necessities as I settle into housing, and immediate living expenses while I secure income. This move is not impulsive—it’s something I’ve been planning and working toward for a year. I’m not asking for luxury. I’m asking for the chance to move from survival to stability.

To any and every last one of you who’ve donated, Koda and I thank you from the depths of us! I know times are hard for so many of us—some are waiting for the sheriff to come and kick in their door, others are praying their car doesn’t get booted, and many are struggling to feed their families. We’re all overworked and underpaid, yet somehow expected to make everything work for ourselves and those who depend on us. Giving when you need help yourself is nothing short of God’s work, and I thank you all again for your kindness and support.
