Hello, my name is Kaitlin, and I am raising funds for my aunt, Taylor Haylin, who is currently fighting for her life.

Over the past three months, Taylor has endured an unimaginable and heartbreaking medical journey. After undergoing a quadruple bypass open-heart surgery in September 2025, she was expected to begin the long process of healing. Instead, she is now facing another triple bypass open-heart surgery just three months later.

Doctors have discovered that three of the four arteries from her previous bypass have completely collapsed. Even more terrifying, her medical team cannot determine why this happened and has shared that they have never seen anything like this before. This shocking turn of events has left Taylor and our family reeling, forced to prepare for yet another life-saving surgery with little warning and few answers.

The physical, emotional, and mental toll has been immense. The first surgery and recovery drained Taylor completely, and the medical bills from that initial procedure exhausted her financially. The thought of going through this all over again feels unimaginable.

Taylor is currently unable to work, and she cannot afford the medical bills she is facing now, let alone the many that still lie ahead. Because this is the beginning of the year, she is also facing a massive insurance deductible before coverage can meaningfully help with costs. Between hospital stays, surgeries, follow-up care, physical therapy, medications, and basic living expenses, the financial burden has become overwhelmingly unmanageable.

Just this past week, Taylor was preparing to move into a rental in Gold Hill, a place she loved and was deeply looking forward to calling home. Due to the severity of her condition and the lack of nearby medical care, she is now unable to move there in the near future. As a result, Taylor currently does not have a stable home, adding yet another layer of stress during an already devastating time.

What makes this even harder is knowing how full Taylor’s life was before all of this. Our hope is not just to help her survive, but to help give Taylor her life back, one day at a time. The life she loved, spending time with her friends, being your barista at The Walnut where she made everyone feel seen and welcome, or jumping on a boat and sailing across the world, chasing freedom and adventure in the way only Taylor can.

Taylor has made a lasting impact on every person she has ever met. She is kind, magnetic, and deeply human in a way that stays with you. She has always shown up for others, and now she needs support more than ever.

This fundraiser is meant to help relieve the crushing financial weight so Taylor can focus on what truly matters: healing, recovery, and the possibility of returning to the life she loves. Every dollar raised will go directly toward medical bills, post-surgery care, housing stability, and essential living expenses during this critical time.
