Help Taylor Come Home Safely

As some of you know, Caden’s girlfriend Taylor had an allergic reaction to a piece of cookie dough that contained peanut butter. She wasn’t aware it was in there. Taylor immediately drove herself to Frick Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, PA, but was refused help because she was under 18 and didn’t have a parent present. The ER nurse made her sit in the waiting room, unable to breathe, with her face swelling up. At one point, the nurse told her, “if you are able to scream then you can breathe.” They watched her turn blue and still did not help. Taylor ended up coding and lost oxygen to her brain. She was transferred to Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital, where she was in the ICU and intubated for several weeks. She is currently back in the ICU with breathing issues, several brain injuries, and brain storming. She had a deep brain stimulation machine put in and is getting another surgery. Taylor did not deserve this. She is the sweetest, most loving girl you could ever meet—always smiling, loving deeply, and fiercely. She was a smart student, a cheerleader, wrestler, and performed in high school theater and musicals. Taylor’s laugh was infectious and could make anyone smile. Her life was flipped upside down and she did not deserve this. Taylor’s mother was denied insurance money to help make the finished basement into a bedroom for Taylor that is wheelchair accessible. She needs a ramp to get in and out of the house safely, a walk-in shower installed, and many updates to get the room ready for her to eventually come home. She also needs a handicapped van to get Taylor back and forth to appointments. On top of thousands of dollars in medical bills, Taylor’s mom faces the burden of making the home accessible. If you would like to donate to help Taylor’s mom, it would be a blessing and mean so much. This is the least I could do to help them. Keep the prayers coming!
