Help Taylor and Family with Cancer Expenses
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I'm Taylor Lintner.
I'm 30 years old and this past August of 2024 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Peripheral T Cell Lymphoma. It's been a humbling experience to say the least. My family and I were unable to run our seasonal Christmas Wreath making business to it's normal potential which usually gets us through a good portion of the year financially and in addition I've been unable to work my regular job since my initial diagnosis.
After some intense Chemo treatments that started in October it seemed that we beat the Lymphoma over the winter months. But in February while scanning to make sure this cancer was completely gone my doctors Urshila Durani in the Division of Hematology at Mayo and Oncologist Daniel Nikcevich of Essentia Health found a whole other kind of cancer in my marrow. I've now been diagnosed with Pre-active Leukemia. Thankfully this is dormant but the doctors want to act fast in order to make sure it can never wake up. At this time my sister Sara Strugar is likely to be my best hope of being a full match for bone marrow stem cell donator and best chance of beating this second obstacle to my health.
Here's where I humbly ask for your help. Most of these doctor appointments, scans, and major decisions are being made at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN which is about 7 hrs from home for me. Keeping up with the cost of gas and other travel expenses has been incredibly difficult. In addition, the bone marrow donation process will require me to stay in Rochester for up to 3 months and Sara will need to fly out and help my parents and I as well in order to get this done. This Gofundme is being initiated to help my family and I with all this travel as well as Sara and her travel expenses.
I thank you all for any help you're able to provide as I go through this arduous process of battling cancer. Thankfully so far, I'm kicking butt!
God bless,
Taylor
