Help Tayler Get a Reliable Bike for Work
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Tayler. I work two jobs and pay bills, I don't have a license and on weekends the bus does not run during the summer. I want to work weekends, walking to work is about 40 minutes, so biking is an easier way to get to work. I want to invest in a better bike after, to no fault of mine, my bike got totaled when my brother attempted to fix my bike's breaks. The front one is completely unfixable, and the back one can't tighen so I have basically 30% of my back break, which is rather dangerous. I'm going to return my bike for the money back, I paid $98 at Walmart. So I'm hoping to get a more expensive (+ better quality) bike at Kent Cycle: Kent Cycle's Shop
My brother recently got a bike from there. And paid ~$700 for his (Marin brand), but he makes more than I do and works more hours, I make $12.00 an hour at Dunkin working 6-15 hours a week, and I am restarting back at Chipotle, but will only get 4-12 hours, I promised them I have a bike, which sadly this weekend when I work at Dunkin I will have to walk. Which suck but whatever it is what it is. I got an umbrella.
Anyways... I need a bike for traveling around my city, it'll just be a quality of life thing, I live on the very very edge of town. Luckily kent is a bikeable town... It would be ultra helpful and just make it easier to get around. I already have a lock, so that's paid for. I'm hoping to get a bike by July 4th. Might be wishful thinking but it would mean so much to me if you could donate and or spread the word.
More about me: I pay rent($104), gas (~45-60), electric (~20-30), mobile/internet ($129.99), I have a cat and he gets monthly injections for his arthritis ($92).
Any money over my goal will be going to: Water bottle holder for bike, Bike helmet, Possibly a bell, and probably gonna use anything else after those for my cat's injection or rent!!!
