Taylah's Scoliosis Surgery
Donation protected

On 24 April my niece will have VBT (Vertebral Body Tethering) surgery. A procedure where titanium screws and a flexible cord rod are placed across the vertebrae to help correct her curve.
Since the diagnosis it has been an extremely emotional and stressful time for our beautiful Taylah and our family. By the support of our family and friends I am hoping that we can help my amazing Sister and Brother-in-Law to reduce some of the financial burden. The surgery and recovery time means time off work for my Brother (who is a sole business owner) and unpaid leave from work for my Sister.
This surgery is not normally covered under the PBS but thanks to the amazing team at the Doctors surgery they have fought Taylah's case and BUPA have agreed to cover the cost of Taylah's prosthesis.
Unfortunately my Sister and Brother-in-Law will still be out of pocket a substantial amount for the Surgeon's Fees, Anaesthetist Fees, unpaid leave, recovery & rehab costs, follow up doctor's appointment etc.
Hopefully with the help of those who love Taylah we can help relieve some of the stress on my family.
So with that said, I thank you for taking the time to read this, I thank you for caring and loving my niece and my family and for helping out someone in need. Any amount, no matter how small, helps to relieve the stress and it is appreciated beyond words and more than we could ever say!!
Thank you so much in advance! Much love x
