Hi all! My name is Chloe, and my best friends need your help. In 2021, Taylah and Zach spent months searching for answers as to their daughter’s respiratory distress. Fast forward to 2025 and they unfortunately are experiencing this all over again, with their son, Brooks.

Brooks was born with two heart conditions: a right aortic arch with a vascular ring, and VSD, a large hole in his heart that will need to be surgically repaired (an extensive 6-8 hour operation with a long recovery time) when he is strong enough. The cardiac issues alone have Taylah and Zach traveling to pediatric specialists in Portland multiple times a week.

Since October, Brooks has been admitted to Barbara Bush twice already. He has had multiple occasions of low oxygen and difficulty breathing and now has an unexplained upper respiratory infection. With his preexisting conditions, this has sent him into episodes of respiratory distress and has caused him to go unresponsive at times. They are now admitted at Barbara Bush in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Zach is a lobsterman, and Taylah a supervisor for a large business, occasionally requiring travel. Taylah was due to be back from maternity leave last week and has been unable to work as they are both staying by their son’s side. They also have a little girl in Pre-K, Braelee.

Between multiple appointments requiring travel a week, work, school, and emergencies in between, Taylah, Zach, Braelee, and Brooks need all the support they can get. I am asking for donations so that they may focus on their son during this difficult time.
