Little Tayana was born with a rare and severe congenital condition called bilateral microtia and aural atresia. This means she was born without ear canals, and she cannot hear the world around her.

She cannot hear her parents’ voices, music, laughter, or the simple sounds that most children grow up with.

Hearing is extremely important for a child’s development. Without hearing, children can experience serious delays in speech, learning, and emotional development. Doctors explain that if hearing is not restored during the critical early years, the effects may last a lifetime.

There is hope.

There is a specialized clinic in the United States that can restore both hearing and the external ear structure for children like Tayana starting from around the age of three.

This life-changing surgery would give Tayana something priceless — the chance to hear, learn to speak, and live a full and happy life.

Unfortunately, the cost of treatment is $169,100, which is far beyond what her family can afford.
