Help Tay With Her Medical Expenses
100% of donations received will be going straight to Taylor Darter.
Taylor got into a severe motorcycle accident on the 16th around 10pm, she was riding with other people when someone else rear ended a car causing them to crash and caused their bike to go into oncoming traffic, another car hit the bike causing it to smash into hundreds of pieces. A large portion of the bike went flying into Taylor’s lane giving her seconds to react, she had no where she could’ve gone due to busy traffic to avoid hitting the debris and was ejected off her bike. She instantly lost feeling in the right side of her body and was unable to move at the scene. She was sent as an emergency trauma to St Joseph’s hospital immediately from the scene. Her bike was sent to impound regardless of the fact that many people offered to tow her bike home. Taylor graduated college in February and works a full time job at a restaurant currently. She’s 21 years old and is obviously solely responsible for her own medical bills and bike repairs. The bike wasn’t totaled and is repairable. Although the bike shouldn’t be her top priority it’s her only form of transportation. She’s on strict bed rest in the ICU, so far the x-rays don’t show any major breaks but she has a spinal cord compression and had multiple MRI’s to see if she needs a spinal fusion which we are still waiting for the results for. She has punctures in her arm and severe road rash and well as bone bruising and a hematoma on her hip. She still has no function or response to 60% of the right side of her body. She’s currently on pain medications but is still in excruciating pain. Taylor does have health insurance but as most people know that only covers so much of the expenses. As her boyfriend we ask and appreciate any and all donations to help cover her expenses. She is not the person to ask for help but due to the extreme circumstances she is very appreciative of anything and everything.
