Hi everyone, my name is Tawana,
Some of you know me personally, and some may not, but if you do, you know I’m an outgoing, hardworking single mom who does everything I can to keep a stable roof over my daughter’s and my head. I work two jobs, and even though it’s not easy, God has always made a way out of no way.
Recently, things took a turn. I ended up in the hospital with my iron levels dangerously low — a level 9. I’ve struggled with irregular periods for years because of fibroids, even after having surgery about four years ago. Unfortunately, the fibroids are back, and this time I have to undergo a full hysterectomy.
This means I’ll be out of work for about eight weeks. I’ve already had to cut back hours at my second job because the pain has been overwhelming, and the work is very physical. I’ve been feeling weak, drained, and honestly, scared of falling behind.
Right now, my main focus is making sure the essentials are covered — rent, utilities, my phone bill — just the basics to keep life steady for my daughter and me while I recover.
If you’re able to help in any way, I truly appreciate it. And if you can’t, your prayers, love, and encouragement mean just as much. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting me during this difficult season.
With love and gratitude,
Tawana R
