Help Tatyana’s Mother

Hi, our names are Lisa McConnell and Sandra Sullivan and we are helping our amazing friend Tatyana Johnson. Tatyana’s mother, Lidiya, lives in a town near Odessa. The Russian invasion has begun and Tatyana needs help to get Lidiya on a train out of Ukraine and then travel to the US to seek refugee status.

We don’t know how long it will take her to get to the US. The funds collected here will be to pay for travel, hotels, food and necessities along the way, as well as some funds to support her once she gets to Tatyana’s house in Jackson, MS.

Tatyana is not the kind of person who asks for help. She’s one of the most kind, generous, and thoughtful people you could ever hope to know. There’s not much we can do to stop this awful war, but we can try to help Lidiya get to her daughter, her son-in-law Sam, and her grandchildren. Please consider donating what you can.
