Help Tatyana Cross the Finish Line at Howard University

Hi everyone,
My name is Tatyana Ridley, and I am a rising junior at Howard University, majoring in Finance in the School of Business with a GPA of 3.80. I never imagined I would be here, writing this. But I have learned that sometimes, it takes courage to ask for help, especially when you're used to doing everything on your own.
I was raised in Harlem, New York, by my mother and grandmother. I come from a family of strong women, and I have carried that strength with me through every challenge. During my first year at Howard, I juggled three jobs: working at Starbucks, the Museum of Illusions, and TJ Maxx just to keep up with expenses while staying involved on campus. I have also interned with Partnership Schools and Permira, a global private equity firm, while pouring into my community through mentorship and student advocacy.
Even with scholarships, work, and determination, the financial gaps still remain. Right now, I have an outstanding tuition balance that is preventing me from registering for my fall classes. My mother is unable to co-sign any loans, and I have exhausted every other option, including financial aid, grants, and appeals.
That is why I am reaching out. I am not asking for a handout. I am asking for a bridge. A bridge to continue pursuing my education, to become the first in my family to graduate from college, and to give back the way I have always promised myself I would.
Your support, whether through a donation or simply sharing this, means the world to me. Every dollar brings me closer to finishing what I started.
With love and deep gratitude,
Tatyana
