Tatum Honts, Jennifer Hartel’s nephew, was recently involved in a devastating car accident and is currently in the ICU at OHSU. Tatum suffered multiple serious injuries, including bruised lungs that require him to be on a ventilator, a broken femur, a brain bleed, fractured spine, and a broken orbital socket. He has already undergone several surgeries, including one to allow his brain to swell safely and another to repair his femur. While the spine fractures are not as severe as initially feared, Tatum remains incapacitated until his lungs heal enough for him to breathe on his own. The road ahead for Tatum is long and uncertain, and his family is doing everything possible to support him through this difficult time.
