Tatum is an 18-year-old who has spent the last two years battling severe Ulcerative Colitis—a painful, chronic autoimmune disease that has taken away her health, her strength, and so much of her teenage life. After trying every possible treatment, she made the brave decision to undergo major surgery to remove her colon. What was supposed to be the start of healing quickly turned into a medical crisis. In just 18 days, Tatum endured three major surgeries, internal bleeding, repeated obstructions, emergency procedures, IV nutrition, and weeks in the hospital. She is still fighting through pain, fear, and a long recovery as she slowly relearns how to eat and rebuilds her strength.
Despite everything, Tatum has shown incredible resilience—continuing her schoolwork from home, maintaining her grades and honor roll status, and holding onto her dream of becoming a nurse so she can help others one day.
Your support will help cover hospital lodging for her parents during her extended stay, post-insurance medical bills from multiple surgeries and ongoing treatment, and essential expenses related to her long recovery. Every donation, share, and message of support means the world to Tatum and her family. Thank you for helping lighten their burden and giving Tatum the chance to heal and reclaim the future she’s been fighting so hard for.
