My name is Tatum Hamlet, and I am a senior musical theatre student at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. I’m incredibly excited and honored to share that I have been accepted into A Cappella Academy, an elite 10-day vocal program held in Los Angeles, California this summer. Admission to this program is highly competitive, with only about 13% of applicants selected from talented singers across the country. Being accepted is truly an incredible opportunity for me to grow as a vocalist, musician, and performer.
A Cappella Academy brings together some of the best young singers in the nation to train with professional vocalists, arrangers, and music directors from the industry. During the program, students collaborate, perform, and receive advanced vocal training that prepares them for future careers in music and theatre. Music and performance have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a student at ASFA, I’ve dedicated countless hours to developing my craft, performing in productions, and continuing to grow as an artist. Opportunities like this help young performers like me take the next step toward our dreams.
The tuition for the program and airfare from Mobile, Alabama to Los Angeles are significant expenses. My goal is to raise enough funds to attend this program without placing a financial burden on my family, especially as I prepare to begin my college journey in musical theatre. Every donation—no matter the amount—will help bring me closer to this life-changing opportunity. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page with others would mean the world to me and help spread the word. Thank you so much for supporting my journey and investing in my passion for music and performance. Your encouragement and generosity truly mean everything.
