Hi friends, family, and Tater fans I’m Dakota, Tater's mom(:
If you’ve ever met Tater, you know he’s not just a dog, he’s a whole UNIQUE personality packed into 22 pounds of goofiness, wiggles, and pure joy. I truly have never met another dog like my Tater butt, and love him dearly; he is my world.
Tater is my 5-year-old rescue French Bulldog mix with endless sass and the kind of spirit that fills every room. He lives for zoomies, belly and ear rubs, and being everyone’s best friend. He doesn’t just walk into a space, he owns it, tail wagging like the world is his stage.
But right now, my sweet boy isn’t himself and hasn’t been for about 2 weeks now.
Tater has torn his CCL and needs TPLO surgery to walk comfortably again. The hardest part? He doesn’t understand why he can’t run, jump, and play like he used to. He tries so hard to be his usual bouncy self, but you can see the confusion in his eyes when his leg won’t cooperate. It breaks my heart to watch him struggle with something that used to bring him so much happiness.
TPLO surgery will give Tater the chance to chase his toys again, greet you with his signature yaps and bounces, and live the active, joyful life he deserves. But the cost is more than I can manage on my own, sadly.
If you’re able to donate, share, or even just send some love his way, it would mean the world to me. Every little bit helps bring my spunky Tater butt one step closer to healing.
Tater has given me five years of unconditional love, laughter, and comfort. Now I’m asking for a little help to give him the chance to keep being the bright, goofy light in everyone’s lives.
Thank you for loving my baby boy.
