UPDATE (September 7, 2021): At around 7:00pm (Manila Time), Tatay Jose took his last breath and joined the Lord while the whole family was with him. He might have lost his fight with COVID but he sure is victorious as his suffering has ended and is now in the care and comfort of the Lord. We thank all of you for being with us in this difficult journey. May God continue to bless us all!


Hi! We are the Castro Family. We wanted our father, Jose Castro, to continue fighting Covid related illness. He was admitted at Allied Care Experts (ACE) Medical Hospital in Baliuag, Bulacan in the Philippines on August 11 and was diagnosed with SEVERE COVID and HYPERTHYROIDISM. He was transfered to ICU after 5 days and is in critical condition. Currently, he is using a non-invasive ventilator but If his condition becomes unstable, he may be Intubated anytime. The chances of survival are low and if he does survive, he will face many weeks in the hospital and rehabilitation.


Jose Castro is a retired public school teacher, an educator and a rondalla ensemble instructor. He is an inspiration to many and brought music in the family. Our father is a tough man with a strong will to survive and we want to help him put up a fight. Medical bills are mounting and we need your help. Any financial assistance would be greatly appreciated to ease the piling medical bills.
