Our friend Tatá needs help.

For those who don’t know her, Tatá Batera is an amazing young Brazilian drummer and great friend to many of us in the music community. In her short time here in Los Angeles, she has established herself as a highly respected artist.

Tatá is currently experiencing difficulty obtaining her artist visa due to issues beyond her control. That means that she may be forced to leave the US soon. I know that she wants to stay and continue to be part of the music scene here. Those who have seen her perform know that she definitely has a lot to contribute.

There is a path forward to obtain legal status again. She has retained the services of an excellent immigration lawyer who works at the Brazilian consulate. One of the challenges she faces is the amount of fees that she will have to pay to resubmit her visa application.

Please contribute what you can to help Tatá stay in the US. She is an important part of our music community.
