Hi everyone, my name is Mahiya and I am supporting my dear friend Tasneem and her family escape from genocide.
Please note: As I’m based in Australia, all donations collected will be in Australian dollars and later converted to US dollars when sending to Tasneem.
Read Tasneem’s story below:
My name is Tasneem. I am married and have a beautiful little girl. We used to live a simple and beautiful life and we lived our lives in a simple and normal way, up until the occupation started carrying out the genocide that it is currently committing. Our lives have been turned upside down in every way.

They started bombing day and night and bombing homes randomly. They started killing children, women and youth in a barbaric manner in order to displace us from our homes. They forcibly displaced us to the South and threatened us with more bombing. We had to leave everything that we owned and go to the “safe areas”, as they claimed.

We went through unimaginable suffering, where there was scarcity of water, a lack of electricity and extremely high prices of essential items. We also no longer had our home left as the occupation had destroyed it. We were displaced to Khan Yunis, under the protection of a relief agency, and after 4 months, the Israeli army besieged us from within. They asked us to evacuate and go to Rafah, and didn’t give us a chance to take anything with us. We left our clothes, food, bedding and utensils and travelled to Rafah without anything.

We arrived in Rafah late in the night and sat on a street as we had no shelter there. Fortunately, some people there helped us and gave us a tent to live in. However, we have no source of income of our own. We possess nothing except a small tent made of nylon. We do not possess any of the necessities of life that should be available to us.
I hope you will be able to support my family and I so that my family and I can start again and build a new house.
