Hi, my name is Sagar and I am fundraising for Tarik's family.

1 month ago my coworker and friend Tarik had his life turned upside down when tragedy struck and both his parents were seriously injured in an explosion and hospitalised, and very soon after his grandma had also gotten injured and hospitalised alongside them.

This explosion was set off in his family home when their fridge blew up which caused their whole house to be burned down and has left both his mother and father gravely injured in the hospital. All of their memories and things that they owned were lost in the fire.

His father was directly next to the fridge which caused him to take the brunt of the force and had resulted in him being in a coma for weeks. He has had two surgeries so far and has been slipping in and out of conciousness. His mother was further away from the fridge when the explosion occurred and suffered significant burns across her body and both her arms.

While his mother was being treated and his father was undergoing the surgeries, Tarik's grandmother fell down and broke both of her legs, which she was also hospitalised for. She is currently being taught how to walk again after such a severe injury. It has been a slow and strenuous process due to her age and the fragility of her bones.

This much trauma and damage is something that no family should face, the events have changed the course of his family's lives forever along side his own, and the part that is hurting him the most is that he cannot be there during the time that they are scared, helpless, uncertain of the future and need him the most.

Tarik left his home country with a dream of a better future. It has been painful to be apart from his family especially during such a grueling time but despite that he was sent here by his family to pave the way for a better life for all of them and he has done everything in his power to support them every opportunity that he gets. He has gone through many hardships and many battles with struggle just to make sure his parents were taken care of but now he needs our help.

All funds received will be put towards his family's medical expenses and ensuring that his family has a place to stay and sleep as they essentially have no place to go once they leave the hospital. We wish to bring them as much stability as possible as they begin to rebuild their lives.
