Help Tarfin and our business after violent crime

Donation protected
We are the Micu family. We own and Tarfin operates Fixers Automotive in the beautiful Houston Heights.

Friday January 14th 2022 will be a day we remember for the senseless crime that intersected our dear Husband and Father Tarfin.

Tarfin was working on a customers vehicle when a man decided he was going to steal that vehicle. He is a man of action and hard work who believes in doing the right thing, he was not going to let that happen without his intervening. The struggle that followed as Tarfin attempted to protect his customers vehicle resulted in the vehicle hitting and running over Tarfin.

HPD and HFD responded quickly and professionally to help Tarfin and get him to the hospital where he spent the rest of the day in great pain in the ICU. Saturday the 15th he underwent the first surgery to start to repair the significant injuries that he has sustained. There will be at least 6 months of healing needed before he is able to lead our company again.

This fund will help us keep our family business and personal needs met as our Tarfin spends time doing what he needs to do the most, heal.

We are not the type to look for a handout, we have always tried to be the people that help. We look forward to thanking each of you personally and serving our community with Tarfin's mechanical talents for years to come.

Even if you cannot help with a donation, please send Tarfin your prayers for healing.
He will need them as he is not a person that likes to sit still! If you know him, you know that. If you don't already know him- I hope you will think of us the next time your vehicles need quality service... soon.

With love,
Crina Micu - Tarfin's wife

-Note from a Friend-
Tarfin came to Houston in 1987 after immigrating to the USA from Romania in 1979 as a political refugee. In 1993 Tarfin and Crina opened Fixers Automotive and began serving their Height community with quality, honest automative repair services. They have since that time added to the neighborhood by helping others, even when those people may have a hard time paying. You may have also seen Tarfin setting up bounce houses for local kids on Easter, as a way of sharing his community spirit with his neighbors.

As the Heights mature and the community changes we should all remember what it is that makes our place in the world special. The Heights is a texture of homes and businesses and the people who are in and around them. Seeing Tarfin working hard at Fixers is something I will always associate with the Heights. I look forward to seeing him back out there working again soon.
