Hello, my name is Tara. I’m not one to ask for anything ever from anyone, but right now in my life, I don’t know where else to turn.

It started the weekend before Thanksgiving with me having a small procedure, and now, two months later, it has turned into so much more. I went for a parathyroidectomy, and while recovering from that, I had 2 bowel obstructions and a cyst on my ovary burst. I eventually healed from that, getting released the weekend before Thanksgiving, only for me to have to go back to the ER the weekend after Thanksgiving. When I arrived, they said that I had another bowel obstruction and thought taking out my PD catheter would help heal the bowels, but it did not at all. Being in the hospital healing from taking the catheter out resulted in my bowels getting weaker, and they were starting to die. I went under another surgery which resulted in them removing a large mass from my Fallopian tube, scraping old scar tissue out from my belly, and removing the top and bottom part of my intestines and reconnecting them to remove the dead parts that had formed. I woke up from surgery and saw I had about 27 stitches top to bottom on my belly and a drain. I eventually got the drain out, but about a week later, they saw a mass/pocket of infection growing under my stitches and a bigger one growing under my liver. This resulted in getting half my stitches popped back open and the surgeon draining what he could. I'll have to have a nurse come out and do the wound care when I finally get released. They also put a drain in where they saw the mass/pocket, which I'll have to keep in for about 3-4 weeks depending on how much it is actually draining.

I haven’t been able to work since before Halloween, and I’ve gone through my savings making sure my pets and household are taken care of. I hate even having to let people into this part of my life, but I honestly don’t know where to turn. I appreciate anything anyone can do for me at this time. I am currently healing and getting better and better each day, but even after I get released from here, it will still be a few months before I’m able to start working and get to where I was before these past 2-3 months.
