In October 2019, my trusty SUV was stolen. After 4 months of major roller coaster run around with insurance, the verdict is clear: it's totaled. This isn't just a big deal for me. I used this car as the main transportation vehicle for Red Seeds youth programs during the school year and the summer. Without wheels, we can't have camp. And as any of the girls in the program will tell you - our camp is special.
The reality is that I can't apply for a new car loan since I still owe for the old car. And being a small business owner makes it nearly impossible to accumulate the kind of savings that big businesses are able to secure. So I'm asking for your help raising funds to buy a new van outright. I have a feeling that the new van is actually what Red Seeds needs - it will be bigger! A 12-15 passenger van like I used to drive back in the early days of my youth career. And it will be solely dedicated to business use, which feels like a healthy development.
Becoming a mom taught me that trying to deal with every obstacle alone is a recipe for staying stuck and feeling endless scarcity. We need each other when life/work/parenting/partnership feels overwhelming.
Any amount you can contribute helps. If you love the work we're doing - particularly with Artemis Pack - help us out by sharing the campaign on social media.
And thank you, thank you, thank you a million times over for your ongoing support of me, Red Seeds, and the amazing youth programs we are growing together. It means so much!
