Tara is facing something no one should have to endure once, let alone twice — a second battle with cervical cancer.

Tara is a devoted single mother to two boys, Aiden (16) and Brody (14), and she’s shown nothing but strength and love through life’s many challenges. Now, she needs our help.

Recently, Tara received the news that her cancer has returned. If it hasn’t spread, she’ll begin six weeks of targeted radiation. Her treatment will take place at MD Anderson in Houston, requiring her to travel weekly from Midland, TX — over 500 miles roundtrip — while undergoing physically and emotionally exhausting care.

Tara won’t be able to work during this time and will rely on short-term disability, which only pays 60% of her income, with a two-week unpaid waiting period. As if that wasn’t enough, her truck was totaled while parked at the mechanic, right before her first cancer appointment. This has made travel and daily life even more difficult.
