My name is Damien, and I am currently caring for my sister Tara and her son. Two years ago, Tara bravely underwent a 14-hour surgery to remove throat cancer and reconstruct her throat. Since then, I have been by her side, helping her recover and supporting her through every challenge. Unfortunately, Tara's health is now declining again, and we are in the process of testing to see if the cancer has returned. As if that wasn't enough, she suffered a fall in December 2025, fracturing her right hip and leaving her in a wheelchair for the foreseeable future.

Along with caring for Tara, I also look after her son and his daily needs. We are currently living hotel to hotel, using my paycheck to cover all our expenses. My savings are gone, and we are struggling to afford even the basics—food, clothing, and a safe place to stay. I recently secured food stamps for Tara to help with her special diet, but it only goes so far. Every day is a challenge, and I am doing everything I can to keep my family together and safe.

I believe that family is the most important thing in life, and it is with a heavy heart that I am reaching out for help. The funds raised will go directly toward housing, food, clothes, medical supplies, and other essentials for my family.
