Help Tara and Kelly Support Their Nieces & Nephew

Our colleague and dear friend Tara Jackson is familiar to many of you as the warm heart and smiling face that welcomes you at The Valley Community Learning Association. Last year this beautiful soul lost her sister, Natasha Robin Jackson, in a tragic act of violence. Now Tara’s young nieces and nephew need her strength and support as they endure the initial stages of the resulting justice procedures for the person responsible.

Tara needs to fly to Edmonton for a week along with her sister, Kelly Amaro, later this month. They and their brother Lester Jackson will need to take time from work and we hope to cover most of their expenses. Co-workers will be supporting her young children here at home with meals and whatever they may need while she is away.

Tara is a person who gives so much of herself to make a difference in others’ lives. This is something that most of us, Tara included, never could imagine we would have to face. Please help make this experience as healing and gentle as it can possibly be for her and her family.
