On Sunday May 4th, while visiting Texas, Jeff and Tara’s lives were turned upside. Jeff experienced a brain aneurysm and has been admitted to the hospital in Forth Worth. He’s currently in a medically induced coma while the extent of the bleeding is determined. He’s having a second surgery today to hopefully fix the vessel.

Tara has been by his side and Jake arrived on Monday to be with them. They currently have a hotel room in walking distance to the hospital. They’re being told to plan for an extended stay in the ICU.

We are setting up this GoFundMe to help with the costs associated with lodging, food, and transportation for Tara and Jake during this uncertain time, and then to help with regular costs of life as they will both be out of work for an unforeseeable length of time.

If you know Tara and Jeff you know they are private people who love nature and the quiet pleasures of life. They are both athletes and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.

*** 4 Month Update ***

Jeff is home in Connecticut with Tara. He’s currently receiving physical therapy and speech therapy as an outpatient and maintaining an overall positive attitude for continuing recovery. He still needs assistance with walking and uses his walker or his wheelchair.

Each day gets better and better but it’s a slow recovery and Jeff will have to remain out of work for the foreseeable future.

At this point, any financial help thru the go fund me will continue to be used for medical expenses and daily life expenses as they have dropped to one income with no additional assistance as he does not yet meet the criteria for state/federal aid.
