Help Tara and Her Sister Keep Power On for Dad

My name is Tara and I started a GoFundMe to help with a large electric bill. My bill is so high because my sister and I take full-time care of my very sick and disabled father. My father was in a coma in August of '23. While he was down, we unexpectedly lost my mother to a heart attack in her sleep. Since then, my sister and I made a promise to take the best care we can of my father. My sister works 3rd shift, and I stay home because after the coma, my father can no longer walk, feed, bathe, or change himself without help. We cannot afford to hire help, and his insurance pays the bare minimum.

We have had extremely high electric bills for the last 6 to 7 months, and the electric company can't tell us why they have jumped so high. Because it's just me and my sister, we have had to pay the minimum balance because we also have to budget all other bills and all of my father's needs as well (medication, Depends, bed pads, wipes, doctor's bills, hospital bills, etc.). We pay out of pocket for everything. My father barely makes enough to cover most of his medicine and pay small amounts on a few doctor/hospital bills a month. He also just had surgery to remove his big toe on his right leg because of an infection that got into the bone, so we will now be paying for 6 weeks of at home antibiotics as well.

We have until May 10th before we will be disconnected for this amount. My father is also on oxygen full-time, and we have to have power to run his concentrator. I'm desperate at this point because there is no help in our area. Everywhere I've called says they do not have any funds available. I'm just trying to continue to take care of my dad while keeping our heads above water.
