You know how you try to do your best to take care of yourself and your family, but sometimes you just need some help?
This is one of those times.
This is me and my dad, Bill. I moved back home to live with him a few years after my mother passed away. I am legally blind and need some help getting around. And he is elderly and needed some help taking care of himself and his home. So, for a while, we took care of each other and it worked pretty well.
At the beginning of February, he landed in the hospital with a urinary tract infection accompanied by extreme disorientation and confusion. He's currently in a rehabilitation facility outside Milwaukee near my sister's home. Unfortunately, his health is fading and I'm afraid he'll be in rehab for quite some time.
Without his help, I cannot live alone. And, on the part-time wages I make, I cannot afford to stay in Illinois. I'm moving to Milwaukee to be closer to my father during his convalescence. I will be staying with my sister and family, sleeping in their living room until I can find a job and we can move to a larger apartment or house.
Not expecting to move on a moment's notice, I have no savings. With my visual limitations, finding a new job might take me awhile. My sister can't afford to support me while I hunt for a job. Additionally, there are the costs my dad racked up while in the ER and hospital as well as moving expenses to consider.
I am asking for your help.
I greatly appreciate whatever you can spare to help me get to Milwaukee to rejoin my family and take care of my father. I know none of us have untapped wealth to give, but if you could donate even $10, it would be extremely helpful!
Thank you for your time and donation!
xoxo,
Tara
