Help Tara (aka: Doc or MTNGRL) battle cancer

Hi, my name is Robert and my amazing wife Tara has dedicated her entire professional career as a Chiropractor to helping others live a better life and focus on the cause of their pain and not always the symptoms. She has helped people live the life they wanted after others had told them that it wasn't possible and has also had to break the bad news to many patients that they have cancer after she found abnormalities during exams or adjustments and sent them to their primary care for bloodwork and imaging.

After 18 years of practice caring for others, she is battling in-operatable stage 3 squamous cell carcinoma (Cervical cancer). When she was given the diagnosis and given a minute to process the news, she looked up and said "I can't die, I have way too much work to do and my patients need me!" The first question she asked her Dr. was "I can still work, can't I?" I have never seen someone so devoted to her patients and their care but now she is the one that needs care and help.

Tara has been having pain and bleeding issues for several months and when we finally convinced her that she needed to stop thinking about her patients for a minute and think about her own health, I took her to the Doctor and during an examination a large lump was found on her cervix. Now she is fighting for her life and the survival of her way to take care of others!

The treatment facility is 1.5 hours from our home and at the price of gas these days, it alone is very expensive. She has insurance but the medical bills for cancer treatment as many of you know are very expensive. And please don't forget that she owns her own small business and if she doesn't work the business isn't open and the bills to keep the gas and lights can't get paid which means she will lose her business and her ability to continue to help those that need and depend on her.

We have started this Go Fund Me account to ease the burden on our family since I, a disabled combat veteran who also owns a small business and work from home, won't be able to work while I am taking her to appointments Monday through Friday and helping her recover at home in between treatments. Over the next days, weeks, and months ahead, we will need to be at countless treatment appointments, Doctor appointments, and dealing with the side effects of the chemotherapy and radiation that her body is going to go through as it battles cancer and tries to heal. As you can imagine, the normal costs of everyday living...such as her office rent, utilities, food, gas, car, etc... the medical costs that are already adding up can be astronomical.

With your help I will be able to take Tara to every treatment and concentrate on helping Tara battle this terrible disease called cancer and keeping her lights on so she has a place to go and see her patients when she is on the other side of this. Not to mention our own home where we and our two dogs live.
