My name is Tara, in March of 24’ a 22cm was removed from my right ovary and I was later diagnosed with stage 1A-2B Granulosa Cell Tumor Ovarian Cancer. It is an extremely rare cancer that only 2% of women are diagnosed with. Prior to surgery, I had become very sick, my body was shutting down, but I had no idea these symptoms were from cancer. I had been experiencing these issues since around 2017-2018 and it took 3 doctors to finally find one that would listen to me. It’s been quite the journey but grateful for another chance at life. While I truly believe all the cancer has been removed, there’s still a lot of preventative maintenance that I need to continue to do on my end that is not covered by insurance. I typically choose the holistic route. Right now, I have quite a few medical bills past due and many specialist that do not take my current healthcare. I had to resign from my bartending jobs due to issues with my lower back that were related to the tumor pressing on my organs, which has almost completely subsided since leaving both jobs. I need assistance with the following, back specialist, pelvic floor specialist, chiropractor, alternative medicine such as bee venmo therapy, Kambo, special vegan diet supplements and super foods that are quite expensive yet effective, iron and vitamin IV infusions. Lastly, need to see a specialist from mass general that specializes specifically in this particular type of cancer, his fee is 1200.00 per appointment and out of my health care network and both my self and oncologist have done all we could to get this approved but we have not had any luck. It is unknown how many hours of his time I will require. Thank you for reading my story and for your support.
