Help Tanya Stiller Heal From Cancer!
Many of us know Tanya Stiller as a great friend who SHOWS UP for justice and community, and it’s our time to show up for her!
Tanya is an enthusiastic community builder, herbal street medic, collaborator, community activist, star volunteer, queer yogi, earth loving botanist, fermenter, seaweed harvesting goddess, lez, fairy-pixie queer life lover. And she is warmly recognized as Farmer Tanya by students and parents for her 16 years of service teaching gardening in the schools, and with Edible Schoolyard.
We are calling on all of her friends and communities to gather around her now to support her on an epic healing journey.
Tanya was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a form of anal cancer. This is a very painful condition, and after many months of highly concerning symptoms, and navigating the challenging Medi-Cal system, Tanya finally has a diagnosis. The good news is that this type of cancer is curative without surgery and the success rate is 85%. The suggested treatment is an aggressive regiment of radiation and chemotherapy for 32 days, followed by several months of recovery, rebuilding her immune system, managing side effects, and restoration to a place of total health and vitality.
After extensive research, Tanya has decided to embark on the suggested radiation/chemo treatment, along with a robust complimentary treatment plan that includes nutrition, supplements, herbs, health/cancer coaching, CBD protocols, sound healing, body and energy work, neuro linguistic programming, and other healing modalities as part of her treatment and recovery plan.
Studies shows that these alternative therapies and practices support and GREATLY IMPROVE the success rate of conventional medicine treatments, and they lessen side effects of radiation and chemotherapy. And these therapies are essential to the restoration and recovery process.
These crucial therapies are not covered by insurance, so we are fundraising to ensure that these life-giving modalities are accessible to Tanya, along with the other support she needs to reach a complete cure, and to feel safe, cared for, with less worry about loss of wages and overwhelming new expenses. Other healing support includes nutrient dense food prep and delivery, transportation to treatment and doctor appointments, and funding for airfare for her strong and loving mom, Binnie, to visit often from Oregon. (Please contact Tanya if you’d like to donate airfare mileages.)
We anticipate the cost of treatment, care and support to be over $25,000. This is, of course, a huge financial burden, and we are coming together in community to provide support, love and collaboration. We welcome donations of any size. Sending a recurring monthly donations is also a great way to show on-going financial and moral support.
A lifelong activist, Tanya has donated her time, skills, love and creativity to support many issues close to her heart. As a street medic for MASHH(Medicine of all Seeking Health and Healing) and a participant in Queer Magic for the Resistance, she has volunteered at the Northern California Women’s Herbal Symposium , Oregon Eclipse Festival, Buckeye Skills Share, and Building Resilient Communities Permaculture Convergence. She’s donated herbal kits to Standing Rock, Hurricane Katrina First AID Centers, Earth First Tree Sitters, Queer Youth Spaces and countless other groups. Tanya is also a joyful seaweed harvester and educator and has taught gardening and nutrition in schools for 16 years with Bay Area School Gardens, including the Edible Schoolyard.
Tanya is currently studying to become a Functional Medicine Practitioner and this healing crisis has sharpened her vision of becoming an empathetic healer who co-creates health and vitality for people with cancer through modalities that awaken and heal spirit, mind and body.

Thank you!
