Help Tanya Recover from Severe Lung Complications

Hi, my name is Alyssa and I’m raising money for my mom, Tanya. The past few weeks have been terrifying for our family, and my mom still has a long recovery ahead of her.

In July, my mom started having trouble breathing but kept working while waiting for her new insurance to start. On July 17, she went to the ER and found out her lung had collapsed. The doctors put in a chest tube, but her lung wouldn’t inflate, so she had to be transferred by ambulance to a bigger hospital three hours away. She stayed there for five days before coming home.

Not long after, she got worse and had to go back to the hospital. They found pneumonia, infection, and pus in the same lung. That night, they put in another chest tube, but something went wrong and her lung was punctured. She lost two liters of blood in minutes and was rushed to the ICU. She needed multiple blood transfusions to save her life.

Once her lung was stable enough, she had surgery. She’s still in the hospital now with a chest tube, and we don’t know how long she’ll be there or when she’ll be able to go back to work.

The medical bills, travel costs to the hospital, and everyday expenses are adding up quickly. I want my mom to focus on getting better, not stressing over money.
