My name is Timothy Jones. I am creating this GoFundMe account for my wife, Tanya Jones. A fierce friend to all those who know her and to everyone she meets. She is always first in line to help out whenever anything is needed. Our family has always been that way. Medical issues have escalated for her over the past few years, making intermittent use of mobility devices necessary, yet she still answers every call for assistance and helps out anyone who needs help.

Tanya has recently suffered a fall and received a broken humerus in her right arm. The worst kind. An inoperable valgus impacted fracture that basically breaks at the ball of the shoulder, impacting the straight bone up into the ball that connects to the shoulder. Worse yet, it is her dominant arm. It is very painful and, along with her current mobility issues, makes it very difficult for her to perform any tasks, including getting in and out of bed or to the bathroom. Her income was minimal at best, cleaning houses for a few of her friends to help pay her phone bill, gas, and help out with groceries. Though we have insurance, it does not cover enough of the costs we are facing. Funds to pay for hospital bills, continuing medical bills, and the supplies needed to care for her have already drained our available savings. Tanya always thinks of others first. I try to do the same. Those who know us know this to be true. She and I both find it very difficult to ask for help and so much easier to be the ones helping, so it is taking a great deal of effort to write this and a lot of tears of shame to ask for assistance for her. But she deserves the best care that I can’t provide on my salary and insurance that I can afford for us. We’ve always felt others were more deserving than us. But seeing her the way she is struggling right now has made me desperate to reach out for help.

I would gladly suffer her pain if I could, but since I can’t, instead, I will gladly suffer the shame that I feel in asking for others to help me help her. Prayers, a few coins, encouragement, anything to lift her spirits would be so very much appreciated.
