It is with great sadness that I am asking for help. My mom has devastatingly and unexpectedly lost her boyfriend of 13 years.

For those of you that don’t know their story, they met at a concert her and I were attending in Seattle. They continued their friendship even though he, at the time, lived in Portland. Many weekends were spent traveling to Portland to visit, go to concerts, and all the fun stuff they did. In 2018, he moved to Texas for a job, and they have remained a couple even though the distance. They traveled often together, going on cruises, exploring other countries, but one of their favorites was attending concerts all over the country, with their favorite being Kenny Chesney.

On the morning of February 2, 2026, my mom got the unexpected phone call that he had passed away. He has no family, and my mom is his next of kin and beneficiary. We now need to come up with the funds to have him cremated and to also get my mom to Texas to get his belongings and car back here to Washington.
