Team Tanya: Fighting TNBC with Love & Pancake Cuddles

Hi, I’m Tanya and I’m gearing up for a tough fight against triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), a fast-moving type of invasive ductal carcinoma. It’s a rare breast cancer that doesn’t respond to some standard treatments because it lacks three receptors (estrogen, progesterone, and HER2). Think of it as a scrappy opponent, but I’m ready to go all-in with treatments on the horizon.

Here’s where things get real: I haven’t started chemo or other treatments yet, but when I do, working is not an option, and my income has hit pause. My amazing partner, Michael, is my rock—keeping me fed, sheltered, and smiling, while also spoiling my sweet dog, Pancake, who’s been my loyal buddy since before Michael came into the picture. But with medical bills, rent, groceries, and Pancake’s kibble about to pile up, I don’t want Michael to carry that stress alone.

That’s why I’m reaching out, even though asking for help feels like eating broccoli for breakfast (not my jam!).
