Do you want to save a life? Create a real difference in the life of a good person? People, this is your chance. I'm raising money for my friend Tanya Twombly so she can move her family to safety in Pennsylvania.
Tanya is a single mom who is devoted to her two boys. She moved them to Oklahoma so she could work on her dissertation while earning money as a TA and lecturer some years ago in an effort to make things better for her family.
Since she's been there, some pretty horrible things have happened to them.
1. She lost her mom.
2. Her health is deteriorating.
3. The college let her go and she was unable to continue her dissertation
4. PANDEMIC
She and her kids have been fighting for years to keep their heads above water, only asking for help in the most dire situations. The check to check poverty is soul crushing. She's in a terrible place. I KNOW HOW THIS FEELS, ONLY I HAD FAMILY MAKING SURE I DIDN'T GET CRUSHED BY MY PROBLEMS.
Tanya needs us to be her family.
SHE HAS SAVED UP ENOUGH FOR AN APARTMENT, A CAR, AND LIVING EXPENSES IN PA WHERE SHE HAS FAMILY. YAY!
Here's the problem.
-U-haul $1400
-Gas $700+
-Bus tickets for the kids since they all won't fit in the Uhaul $900
-Meals and motels $500
We need to raise $3500 to get them across country to safety.
Help me do this. Help someone who has no family get back to where she can be safe among friends.
