Help Tanq Get the Care He Needs

Hey everybody,

This isn’t something I ever thought I’d have to do, but some things are worth putting yourself out there for. After many tests and two months of no bowel movements My sweet boy, Tanq, has recently been diagnosed with a large and unusual mass in his abdomen.

After an appointment and initial testing, his veterinary team discovered a large cystic intra-abdominal mass. The results have been confusing and the nature of the mass remains unclear, with cancer not fully ruled out.

• The vets suspect a prostatic cyst which is rare in neutered male dogs like Tanq.

• He also has an enlarged sacral lymph node, which may or may not be related but usually is a sign of cancer somewhere in the body

• The next critical step is a CT scan to figure out exactly what’s going on and how best to treat him.

Right now, we don’t have all the answers. If it is a prostatic cyst, surgery may be needed to remove it and prevent further complications, like pressure on his colon. Without the CT scan, we can’t move forward with the treatment he needs to live a happy, pain-free life.

Tanq and I have been together for 10 years. He’s my best friend, my rock, my road dog and my constant companion. Seeing him struggle has been heartbreaking, but I know there’s hope. With the right diagnosis and treatment, he has a real chance to keep thriving!

The cost of scans, treatments, and possible surgery is overwhelming, and I can’t do this alone. Any donation, no matter the size, will help us get closer to the answers and care Tanq needs. If you’re unable to contribute financially, simply sharing this would mean the world to us.
