Help Tanner Beat Brain Cancer – St. George & Santa Clara Community Fund
Tanner is a 15-year-old from St. George/Santa Clara. One week ago, he was a normal kid. Monday night, he started throwing up. By Wednesday, he couldn’t stay awake. An MRI showed a mass on his brain. He was life-flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City and diagnosed with choriocarcinoma – a rare, aggressive brain tumor.
He’s in the ICU now. Monday, he gets brain surgery to relieve pressure and a port placed for chemo. Then months of chemo and radiation begin.
His family is away from home, overwhelmed, and facing huge expenses (travel, lodging, lost wages, medical bills even with insurance, gap in insurance coverage).
We, the St. George and Santa Clara communities, are rallying to lift that burden so they can focus 100% on Tanner fighting this.
Every dollar goes straight to the family for medical and living costs during treatment.
Tanner is strong. His doctors are some of the best in the country. The prognosis is hopeful, but the road is long.
Please give what you can and share widely. Our towns take care of our own.
Thank you
