Hi, my name is Tanish Stewart, currently living in Tennessee. Unfortunately, my Jamaican family and I have been left with no choice but to reach out and ask for your support after a devastating tragedy.

My family home in Middlesex, St. Elizabeth, was severely damaged by Hurricane Melissa. The storm tore off the roof, allowing heavy rain to pour in and flood every room. Within hours, everything was lost, including food supplies, clothes, furniture, appliances, cherished family photos, and other treasured items.

Their home wasn’t just a shelter; it was a place filled with beautiful memories built through years of hard work and love. Now, it’s all gone.

We are deeply grateful that everyone in the family is safe. No lives were lost, and no one was seriously injured. Still, the emotional and financial impact has been overwhelming. The reality that we have to start from nothing has truly sunk in, and it has been incredibly difficult to process.

I am humbly asking for any assistance you can provide to help us rebuild the lives of the persons I love dearly.

The priorities are to:

1. Repair the roof so that my mom, sister, niece, and nephews can have a safe and dry place to stay.

2. Get food supplies and toiletries.

3. Replace the essential furniture, bed, etc.

4. Replace clothing, especially for the kids.

Every single dollar donated will go directly toward helping my family recover and rebuild.
