Tanika moved to the UK with promising hopes to become a social worker and have impact in the community. She is originally from Australia, with New Zealand descent. This week she received devastating news that her mother fell ill suddenly and is in the New Zealand Southern Board District hospital in critical condition in ICU. Tanika has two siblings aged 10 and 6 years of age. They have 2 living relatives, Tanika who is their next of kin and their brother who is unable to get there. Currently the children are under care of the school principal and a friend until we can get Tanika home to support them.  Tanika requires to get a flight, then alongside this support two children when there until her mother has regained health. Currently her mother is on life support and this is critical and it is unknown the outcome. Tanika has currently just moved and has contractual tenancy in the UK- so having to leave her job, new accommodation and not know how long she will have to be in NZ leaves a-lot of pressure and financial burdens. With this in mind this money would support her paying for flights, rent in the UK if her tenancy cannot be taken over and supporting financially her two siblings until she is able to find employment in NZ in the time being or gain financial aid.
