I am a mother of two who recently made a big decision to move to Arizona from Delaware to create a fresh start for myself and children. I had just begun to get my foot in the door with work while staying with family starting to create a stable future.

But everything has changed in an instant. A sudden and tragic accident occurred on Thanksgiving, when a Crock-Pot exploded in my face, leaving severe burns on both arms, full chest and entire face. The pain has been unimaginable, the healing process is going to be long, difficult and full of uncertainties.

To make things even harder, I currently do not have health insurance. The medical bills from emergency care, burn treatments, medications, and ongoing appointments are already growing by the day.

While in the hospital from the accident, I received incredible news, I had been hired for a new position that would finally provide the benefits and stability I have been striving for since I moved.

Unfortunately, due to my injuries and the need for weekly doctor visits, I have had to push back my start date and I am unable to continue working my current position, leaving me without income during one of the hardest moments of my life.
