Hi everyone,

We are raising funds for our wonderful nanny, Taniece, whose family in Jamaica was recently devastated by the hurricane.

Many of you may already know Taniece—whether from waiting in mutual lines at school/camp pick up and drop off, at Cedar Market, or after-school karate class.

Taniece has been an essential part of our family and my support system for the past 4 years, helping care for our children and our home during some of the most intense and demanding years of my medical training. I simply could not have managed OBGYN residency without her constant support, quiet confidence, and unparalleled devotion to our children. She has been part of our village in every sense of the word: steady, loving, and generous beyond measure.

Now, as her own family faces tremendous loss, we want to be part of her village. Their home was destroyed (what's left is pictured above) and most of her family is now homeless. They are in immediate need of support to rebuild and replace essential belongings.

All funds raised will go directly to Taniece’s family to help them recover and regain stability after this tragedy. Any contribution—big or small—will make a meaningful difference.
