Help Tania Rebuild After Glendale Fire
Donation protected
My name is Tania M Lacks. My family and I were the tenants affected by the tragic fire that happened in Glendale, California Tuesday the 13th. While we are grateful that none of us were home at the time, as my husband and I were at work and our children were at school, our beloved animals were inside and did not survive. The heartbreak from this loss is something we’re still trying to come to terms with. It has been incredibly difficult to make this page, but I know we need help right now.
The fire is still under investigation, but the damage it left behind has made nearly all of our belongings unusable or destroyed. What remains is drenched in ash and smoke, making it impossible to recover the things we once relied on. The only clothing we have now are the outfits we put on that morning before leaving the house
This fundraiser is something I never imagined needing to create, but we are starting from nothing. Any support will go toward helping us find a new home and rebuild the basics. We need beds, clothing, furniture, kitchen essentials, and all the everyday items that make a space livable. My children still need to attend school, but we are struggling with even the simplest things like clean clothes and school supplies.
We have also created a space on this page to honor the animals we lost. They were more than pets to us. They were part of our family. Now that the news is covering the story, we feel it is time to begin sharing their names and who they were to us...
