Help Taneika and Tadd Recover from Medical Crisis

Donation protected
Hey, friends. We have come to a point where it would not be in the best interest of ourselves and our children to not get help, so I am going to swallow my pride and ask for some. My name is Taneika Carlin and my husband's name is Tadd. On Friday, Tadd developed some mild swelling in his face (no fever, no pain). We kept an eye on it and on Sunday he became feverish. We went to KStat, got the strongest antibiotics they could give him, and we managed the fever and other symptoms with over the counter medication. After 3 days, he was still feverish and the swelling was spreading down his jaw and suppressing his airway. We went to the ER, where the doctor gave him three shots of antibiotics and steroids, and made an emergency oral surgery appointment two hours away from here, in Ottawa, KS. We immediately went to the surgeon, and after running our insurance, still had to pay an enormous amount for the surgery. It was cash at time of service, and we were made aware by the ER doctor that if he did not have it done, he would end up on a ventilator by the end of the night. And not everyone is able to come off of those. He had an infection on the lower jaw bone the size of a marble, and a secondary cellulitis infection the size of a tennis ball that was spreading. At that point, I would have paid any amount of money to get him well. And we did. To the tune of every last cent we had saved for an upcoming move and current expenses. This wouldn't have been an issue, except the very next day, yesterday, around a third of Tadd's company was laid off. And just like that...no way to replace the money we have spent, or to pay current bills.
We are both currently looking for work, but we no longer have health insurance due to him being unemployed, and he still has follow up appointments to have the drain in his mouth removed. In addition to that, our lease is almost up and we no longer have the necessary funds to make the move. He has filed for unemployment, but that will be only a fraction of what he earned, and it won't be here for at least two weeks. The situation is very bleak, and I am hoping someone can help. Thank you all.
