Help Taneeisha Thrive

Help Taneeisha Go from Surviving to Thriving

Hello. My name is Mitzi and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of Taneeisha, a young lady I work with who truly inspires me.

Taneeisha, or THamm as she likes to be called, is experiencing some struggles and needs a car, among other things. Her previous car was totaled in early 2017 due a car accident. Prior to November, she was paying for rides to and from work daily, however, doing so made it impossible to save for the purchase of a new car. She obtained a second job, but the transportation costs outweighed the income, so it didn’t make sense to keep the second job. A couple of individuals started helping her with rides to/from work in November so that she could save for a new car. Unfortunately, she acquired some costly medical bills at the end of 2017 that are making it even more impossible to save for a vehicle. The donations for Taneeisha will go towards the purchase of a car, tags and insurance.  Our goal is to raise the funds by mid-February.

THamm moved to town in early 2017. She is a Domestic Violence survivor. She has no family or established friends here to help her. She left the DV situation to get away from her abuser and to pursue a CompTIA A+ certification offered in town. She successfully obtained the certificate and has been working for our company since October.

She comes into work with a big smile on her face every day. You would never know the struggles she is experiencing with her life circumstances. She does not ask for help. She is independent and wants to be successful in her own right. She is trying to do everything on her own.

Many years ago, two very kind ladies helped me by driving me to and from work when I couldn’t drive due to a foot injury and its accompanying cast on my right foot. I would have lost my job if those ladies had not helped me. I always appreciated their kindness and wished I could have done more for them in return. So now it’s my turn to “pay it forward.” We all need help at some point in life, and sometimes it takes a village to take care of own. Will you please be a part of the village that helps Taneeisha?

Note: I obtained permission from Taneeisha to share this information. So, this fundraiser will not be the surprise I would have loved to present her with, but the priority had to be for her safety. She is not ashamed of her past and held her head high when she relayed the events stemming from the abusive relationship she experienced. I want to see her go from surviving to thriving. Every amount will help her!
