Tana here. I was hoping not to have to turn to crowdfunding but here we are.

At the beginning of April I lost my job due to Covid. I am since back to work, but the issues that 4 months off caused are devastating. I have yet to receive any unemployment money from the state, and while I have contacted my legislators and the UI agency repeatedly the message has simply been “be patient”. I cannot any longer. I am months behind on my mortgage and other bills and at serious risk of losing what I have. I was able to go a few months on what money I had, and since I was expecting unemployment income I didn’t go hardcore into thrifty mode right away. I’m still fighting for my 4 months of unemployment income and hope to get the help of a lawyer, but in the meantime I desperately need to at least get a bit less underwater. Even working fulltime now I see no way to catch up on my behind bills before I seriously get in trouble with the house and other things. I have sold off some things I own but have hit a wall on what people are willing to buy.

So…I’m breaking down and asking for help. I set the number at $2.500 because that should at least get me a bit out of the fire even if it doesn’t bring me back to even.
