In august of 2021 my mom (Tamra Crump) was admitted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield Missouri. Upon arriving to the hospital, she had incredibly painful neuropathy, seizures and she was generally unwell. During her admission, they found that her red and white blood cell counts were incredibly low, and her bone marrow was depleted. As she was in the hospital getting tests and trying to improve her health, she went into cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated. In turn, fracturing ribs and putting her in even more pain with even more immobility. Once further testing was done, they found an infection in her spinal fluid and brain.

September of 2021 she was admitted to an in-patient PT rehab facility while she underwent antibiotic treatment for this infection. Unfortunately, she is still struggling terribly with her neuropathy and since has been almost completely bed ridden (aside from PT). Her doctors are working diligently to figure out what is continuing to cause this debilitating neuropathy and her seizures.

She has 6 grand babies that need their Gigi and four daughters that need their momma.

Due to her immobility and need for full-time care, we are planning to transport her to Pennsylvania from Springfield, Missouri to be at home with my sister Hannah, her husband and their three babies. I am asking for prayers for my family, especially Hannah’s, as we navigate this journey to get her healthy and thriving. We are additionally asking for donations to help assist with this journey to get her to Pennsylvania.

All donations will be going towards her medical transport to Pennsylvania, a bed (that gives us the ability to re-position/adjust her), medical equipment, and the remainder would go towards her hospital bills that are piling up.

The most recent ground transport quote was $6,000 and $30,000 for air transport. At this moment we are looking to transport her by ground transport with nurses. If she has the ability to stand and pivot and get into a wheelchair in the next few weeks, we may reevaluate and look into getting wheelchair lift for our van and will travel to get her and bring her back but this is all dependant on her recovery.

We are so incredibly grateful for the constant love, support and encouragement received. We are so thankful for her fiancé Jim, who has been by her side during this trying time.
