Help Tammy - She needs to go home.

Hi, my name is Edie Sandberg and I am Tammy Fredlund's sister-in-law. Tammy has stage 4 brain cancer and recently underwent surgery in Ottawa. She had a stroke during surgery and is paralyzed on her left side, which has complicated getting back home. She is unable to take a commercial flight and requires an air ambulance to get her back to Saskatchewan. She and her husband Rick have been in Ottawa since the middle of August and they very much want to go home to spend time with their children and family in Saskatchewan. They were thrown a pretty big curve ball when they found out that Tammy's insurance was cancelled a week ago by her work. Tammy worked hard when their children were little, obtaining her education in nursing, and has spent her working life helping others. I think it is time we took care of Tammy. I have set a goal of 50,000. Ponchos Pub & Grill in Whitewood, SK, recently hosted a fundraiser for Tammy and raised over $6, 000.00 for Tammy, and we are very grateful for their love and support. With the time spent in Ottawa since mid-August, the lack of income while staying in Ottawa, and the very large expense of an air ambulance to get home ($20, 000.00), the expenses have become daunting. There will also be further expenses required in the near future for Tammy and Rick when they return to Saskatchewan--wheelchair, home adjustments, possible homecare. Any assistance you can give is very much appreciated to support Tammy's journey home.
